Picture Overload - Ashley's Senior Pics

When Ashley was about 4, I realized that if I was ever going to have any decent pictures of her, I was going to need to take them myself.  She has never been comfortable in front of the camera, and having a stranger behind it ALWAYS made things worse.  She just felt awkward.  Therefore, I've done her pictures myself for the most part for a long time now, and we have a lot of fun.

We needed to get some good pictures for her graduation announcements, so she and I set off last Saturday morning with the camera. We decided to combine a few of her favorite things - music and running - by bringing her violin to her favorite trail.

We got a few posed smiles ...

... and then started to have some fun.  As usual, she made faces at me most of the time.  I seriously have about 200 of these.

We found the most amazing tree with vines hanging everywhere.  A few minutes into shooting there, she discovered that they would hold.

In the end, we ended up with some shots that I love, that sure do capture her lively and lovely spirit.
